Because of demand the HSK have devised classes for the younger karate student.

Each class will last for 45 min and will teach the fundamentals of karate.

Emphasis is placed on learning through fun and games.

A fun exercise class for both boys and girls with the basis and structure of karate. It incorporates karate technique with games to promote physical and mental skills in a safe, secure environment. Tiny Tigers teaches its students the central concepts that karate should only be used for self defence and the core values of Shotokan karate such as control, respect and discipline.

Main points,

Physical benefits improve flexibility, strength, agility, co-ordination and balance.

Mental benefits, boost confidence, discipline, control and respect.

A great way to channel energy, have fun and meet new friends.

Offers a structured assessment and awards program. Tiny Tigers wear karate trousers and a Tiny Tigers T-shirt.

Tiny Tigers progress to the regular classes from 7 years onwards but can stay in the Tiny Tigers club until they reach 9 when they must join the regular class.

By taking part in the Tiny Tigers training, students will build confidence and will be better prepared to start the regular classes when they are a little older.

Clubs that have already implemented classes for this age group have reported that the children become more confident, their attention span is better, they are much better behaved and are better prepared to start regular karate classes.

All staff at HSK Tiny Tigers have been CRB cleared and hold a CRB certificate.
